Meet The Team

Maggie Jones

Owner, Front Desk, Teacher + Balanced Body Master Educator

With a passion for dance ignited at the age of six, Maggie's early exploration of movement laid the foundation for her deep understanding of the body. This passion naturally evolved into a deep dive at the University of California Santa Barbara, where she earned a BFA in Dance alongside a minor in Exercise and Health Science. The stage then beckoned, and Maggie spent time performing professionally in Los Angeles, honing her understanding of the body in motion.

  • Driven deeper into the mechanics of movement and a desire to understand the body on a different level, Maggie worked as a Physical Therapy Aide, gaining invaluable insight into the nuances of pain, injury, and rehabilitation. This experience seamlessly led her to the world of Pilates, where she earned her first teaching certification through BASI Pilates under the expert guidance of Karen Clippinger.  Further solidifying her expertise in the realm of recovery and movement, Maggie then spent years teaching Pilates within a chiropractic and physical therapy office. This immersive experience allowed her to work closely with individuals navigating a wide range of physical challenges, truly honing her ability to tailor sessions and adjust exercises for successful outcomes.

Upon moving to Texas in 2017, Maggie became an integral part of the ALIGN Pilates team in Austin, working alongside the amazing Brooke Bowersock. This pivotal experience eventually led to a referral into the prestigious Master Educator Program at Balanced Body. Now, Maggie shares her expertise by teaching Teacher Training at the ALIGN teacher training center, an Authorized Training Center for Balanced Body.

Known for her sharp eye for detail, the supportive touch of her hands-on guidance, and her clear and encouraging cues, Maggie creates a challenging yet accessible class environment. She effortlessly guides everyone from beginners taking their first steps to advanced practitioners seeking deeper understanding. With a genuine curiosity about Joseph Pilates himself and the stories behind his exercises, Maggie weaves both classical foundations and contemporary insights into her teaching. You can find her sharing her passion and knowledge in both our Classical and Contemporary classes.

Andrew Abrahamson

Owner, Front Desk + All things business

Born in the misty outskirts of Seattle, Andrew spent his youth mastering cul-de-sac baseball before his wanderlust led him to Europe at the millennium's turn—where he discovered both adulthood and a passion for hospitality that would define his first career chapter.

Andrew's journey through the hospitality world was expansive —evolving from bartender to operations leader to CEO of a multi-state hospitality group with 30 locations. His talent for building authentic connections, nurturing talent, and creating transformative experiences proved invaluable as he guided teams through both expansion and pandemic challenges.

  • Today, Andrew has embraced his most fulfilling venture yet: bringing the transformative power of Pilates to others alongside his accomplished wife. "What drew me to Pilates was realizing Joseph Pilates was a visionary a century ahead of his time," Andrew explains. "He understood that breathwork, mobility, and intentional movement could heal almost any ailment—principles that modern wellness is only now fully embracing."

This new chapter perfectly harnesses Andrew's operational expertise and his genuine passion for enhancing lives. Where once he created spaces for nightly connection, he now builds communities focused on daily strength—helping clients develop not just physical power but mental clarity and lasting wellness.

A natural community builder with an adventurer's spirit, Andrew brings infectious enthusiasm to his studio, creating an environment where every client feels both challenged and supported on their journey to becoming their strongest self.

Ramsey Turpin

Teacher

I fell in love with movement from an early age, starting with swimming in high school, moving to climbing and yoga in college. Once I found Pilates my form improved in all modalities of movement that I enjoy! I received a 250hr certification from Bodybar which I then used to help me finish a Balanced Body comprehensive certification at ALIGN with Brooke Bowerstock and Maggie Jones. I hope to foster passion in my students to make their workouts feel like a celebration of movement and what their bodies are capable of.
